SBF designers - Across the pond designs

Across the pond designs is a collab of 2 of the most talented scrappers at SBF : Amelia who lives in England and Lindsey who lives in South africa.  They have made 3 fabulous kits so far and am looking forward to see what is next for them.these kits are all freebies.

I have made pages from all 3 kits but I have to say my favorite page is from their 2nd kit called Debonair - a vintage gentlemans kit

Sammy has been adopted!

On Saturday Sammy was adopted by a retired couple who have had rescues all their lives. They currently have one very old dog and 2 that are age 7 ( retired greyhound and a golden mix). They have a fully fenced backyard that is over an acre. On the surface this sounds great but I still feel we made a mistake - that this isn't the best home for him. I plan on writing to them in a few days to see how Sammy is doing.

Meanwhile Cooper seems to be quite happy to have the house back to himself.He has even acted much more playful today than usual. Cooper has his own version of  man cave - place to go to be alone and away from the fosters. It has a  couch, window seat and his favorite toys. He was bringing out some of those toys which he never did when sammy was here.

typically Cooper gets about a 2 week break in between fosters.

belle15 makes terrific wordart and many of them are either geared toward dogs or works well with a dog layout.

I just used one of her wordarts for a page for a sbf member who recently lost her dog

one time i asked about xmas dog wordart and she made one just for me.

lately it seems more and mores sbf members have branched out to designing. The talent they have is just awesome.

i would like to feature now some of these super talented and creative people. I will do each one in a different post ( order is purely random)

SBF pet challenge #3

Last week DitziB ( brenda ) held the 3rd SBF pet challenge. This is where you upload photos of your pet and others scrap them. You do NOT scrap your own pet. As Coopers birthday was during the challenge I uploaded some generic birthday photos from previous years. 4 pages were made and I was quite happy about that as he has been in the previous 2 so i wasn't sure if anyone would even bother to scrap him. I love them all.

this page was for oreosmeow - Bradley is a cat living at her vet clinic and was returned after being with the same fmaily for many years because of diabetes. And has had a hard time adjusting. everyone has fallen in love with bradley.

birthday photos with my first slideshow

Cooper had a great birthday - i think he really enjoyed himself. Friday afternoon the cake was made and he got to lick out the batter.  Jerry and I each hand fed him a slice of pizza. all during this tried to get some photos. He would not tolerate either of his birthday hats this year but did get a pic of him smiling in front of cake and presents.

both Sammy and cooper got cake and they will both be having it all week.  i am pretty sure i used the same recipe last year but this year it came out much better at least as far as humans eating it. last year i recall it being more dried and not sweet enough.

As Cooper was getting too tired to open presents ( he is always tired), he opened them Saturday morning. Sometime I think he enjoys tearing off the wrapping paper more than the actual toy. One toy was a giraffe that makes noise if you just shake it and the other was a small round toy - he loves to mouth these types.

after just cooper, Jerry and i went to marymoor park. we haven't been there since Sammy has been here. (park is too large and not totally fenced so is not good for Sammy with the way he loves to run). Cooper sat up and smiles the whole trip there and then entire time we were there and even most of the way home. he never smiles that long. even though he never played with other dogs, i have no doubt he was just so happy to be with us alone.

Happy 6th Birthday Cooper

today Cooper is 6 - everything for the cake has been bought plus I also got him his birthday dinner. the cake will be made later in the day. instead of his usual special steak dinner this year , hubby and i agreed that there is one food item he would enjoy more and that is pizza. so we got him a small frozen meat pizza.

on a side note I don't know why i can't get a banner to fit now. cutest blog didn't have a matching one so i just used the same size as previous ones. those fit but this one doesn't.  well this one won't be up long

I am hoping to get some photos of cooper with his cake and hat on. maybe if i am lucky will get both cooper and sammy with hats on. Sammy will share in the birthday cake but no pizza.
